lirc_pvr150 works fine with the HVR-1600. I had it blasting no problem. However, it supports a limited number of set-top boxes. Check first if your codeset is supported, otherwise you'll need a blaster that supports the full set of codes, like the MCE remote. Good luck.<br>

</blockquote><div><br><br><br><br></div></div>Thanks this was helpful, I finally found some time yesterday to tinker. Just a few obstacles, I had to remove the references and calls to ivtv_reset_ir_gpio() otherwise it would not load. <br>
<br>The LED is not entirely efficient either, if I have the LED off by a mm on the STB it would not work at all. Considering replacing the emitter with and IR LED. <br><br>Thanks for the lead...<br><br>Al<br>
