Hi,

I believe that some of you are doing this or something very similar...

I'd like to stream the output of a USB webcam (using the V4L1 gspca driver) to the TV out on the 350.

I've got this to work using ivtvfb + the ivtv X driver @ 640x480 and then using spcaview to take the 640x480 mjpeg stream from /dev/video1 and display it on the X server. Works fine but even at 5fps, spcaview uses a lot of CPU on my PIII.

What is the most CPU-efficient way to take an mjpeg stream and throw it out of the PVR350? Video quality is not particularly important. I was hoping to avoid the framebuffer and X entirely by going direct to the RAW YUV out on /dev/video48 but not sure how to do this...

Advice appreciated.

Regards,
Wilf.

Me@google | http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=537978136
