Either the cx18 didn't build or the module isn't registered... Were
there any errors from make, make install?
Have you run 'depmod -a'? Does the cx18.ko file exist somewhere under
/lib/modules/kernelversion/?
Thanks for the response, you were right. I hadn't thought to check
through the make logs. I did a make clear and another make with the
logs going to a logfile. Sure enough, cx18 did not build. I did
another make clear and then a make menuconfig and found that the module
was not selected by default. It was also not named 'cx18' in
menuconfig, but rather had the chipset numbers (CX23418) in the description.
I did another make going to a logfile to verify that cx18 build, and it
did. From there everything else went as described: make install, make
unload, modprobe cx18, reboot.

OpenSuSE 11.0 sees the card now on boot. It does not come up in the Yast TV Cards menu, however, mythtv-setup found and recognized it properly.

Thanks!
David
