Hi,
one question which standard capture resolutions are provided by the
ivtv driver?
Are all PAL cards using 720*576 and all NTSC cards 720*480 ??

With this in mind, any idea why I'd see this in the kernel log?

ivtvfb0 info: Display size: 720x576 (virtual 720x576) @ 32bpp
<snip>
ivtvfb0 warning: Invalid resolution: 720x576
It's definitely a PAL card.
I'm suddenly having a problem with X refusing to start, even when using
a previously known good config. Wondering whether the above could be
connected, given the problem i'm seeing from X:

(EE) IVTV(0): FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO: Invalid argument
(EE) IVTV(0): Mode init failed
Cheers
