Keith,

/lib/modules/2.6.13-15-default/build/  is a link that points to 
/usr/src/linux-2.6.13-15-obj/i386/default which only contains a file 
called modules.symvers.

I ran a find command for ivtv.ko and it only exists as 
/lib/modules/2.6.13-15-default/extra/ivtv.ko.

So did I screw up the basic "install" part of the How To. I downloaded 
ivtv-0.4.0.tar.gz into /root, then executed the 3 commands shown in the 
How To...

   tar -zxf ivtv-0.4.0.tar.gz
   cd ivtv-0.4.0/
   make && make install
